What was important to me was that, finally, after 37 years of trying to gain profile for Hugh, and ten years after publication of the book itself, I got to say the following:
At the time of his death, Hugh was acting in the service of his Prime Minister. It doesn’t matter whether his actions were covert or deniable, or whether we agree with his undertakings, he was acting in the service of his country.
In a few days time, in both the UK and the US, we hold services to remember those who died on behalf of their country. Hugh has never been acknowledged in this way. This has been a stigma for his family, And it should end.

None of this has ever been about selling books or gaining profile for me. It has been about finding the truth, so that his family might know, and forcing the British Government to own responsibility, so that his family might gain some emotional restitution.
